Road to Omaha: One MCWS spot remains up for grabs (2024)

Only one spot remains up for grabs in the Men's College World Series.

After finishing the regular season only one game above .500, Florida punched its ticket to the Men's College World Series upon beating No. 6 Clemson 11-10 in 13 innings on Sunday. Michael Robertson's two-RBI double in the bottom of the 13th sealed the win for the Gators after a home run from Alden Mathes had given the Tigers a one-run edge.

The Gators were the national runner-up last season, and they get to continue their redemption tour after winning the Clemson Super Regional.

Also on Sunday, No. 1 Tennessee took care of business against Evansville to win the Knoxville Super Regional. After dropping Game 2 to the Purple Aces, the Vols never surrendered control of Game 3, hitting seven home runs in their 12-1 win. It will be Tennessee's third time in Omaha in the past four seasons. Additionally, No. 3 Texas A&M had a come-from-behind victory to beat Oregon 15-9 and won its sixth consecutive super regional, and No. 2 Kentucky beat No. 15 Oregon State 3-2 and will play in the MCWS for its first time.

With No. 8 Florida State, No. 12 Virginia and No. 4 North Carolina advancing after winning their super regionals 2-0 on Saturday, that leaves just one winner-take-all game.

No. 7 Georgia and No. 10 NC State will play one last time Monday night in a decisive Game 3 in the Athens Super Regional. In Game 1 of the series, the Wolfpack throttled the Bulldogs 18-1, but UGA flipped the script Sunday in an 11-2 win. History, however, is on NC State's side as Georgia is looking to become the third team to win a super regional after losing Game 1 by 10 or more runs.

We break down each game and provide you with schedule updates, scores and how to watch the NCAA tournament.
